It’s been a big day for “Spam & Eggs: A Johnny Denovo Mystery.” Not only did the book go live on the Kindle, the print editions arrived — and they look great!
For all the hubbub about ebooks, there is still a magic about a printed book. These look better than I expected.
Books can vary in their physical appeal, and I’ve never bought the literal truth that you can’t judge a book by its cover (I do believe its allegorical truth, however). There is an element of craft and taste in any cover.
Page layout and typeface choice both enter into the readability of text and its ability to transport the reader and suspend reality.
I’m very happy with this book’s aesthetic. It looks great, feels right, and reads well.
Whew!
